The author Dr. Ahmed is a medical doctor-physician who was born and brought up in a traditional Muslim family of India. He prefers not to reveal his full identity at present for fear of a backlash from Islamic fundamentalists. He has seen it worthwhile to write this book and help people like himself who are searching for answers at the cost of risk to his life. He was born and grew up in a tier two city of India as the last child of a big orthodox Muslim family. Influenced by Tablighi jamaat and Zakir naik, he led a life of pious Muslim for 2 decades of his adult life before realizing that something was amiss in his faith. His life in the gulf and debates on Islam opened his eyes to the real Islam which he couldn’t accept from his heart.

After a year of lingering in a deep study of Islamic history, Quran and Hadees, Dr. Ahmed decided to give up Islam as he felt cheated. He wishes to share his story and his discoveries about Islam to help people like himself who are searching for the truth.
